James Earl Boman (Jim), of Orlando, Florida passed away on October 30, 2019 at the age of 90.
He was born in Mystic, Georgia on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1928 to the late James Robert & Viola (Chandler) Boman.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later the U.S. Air Force for 28 years as a Flight Engineer. He attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant, honorably serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Air Medal, Air Force Presidential Citation, and Distinguished Flying Cross. He was also stationed in Florida, California, and England with the U.S. Air Force Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service as a flight engineer working on C-130s.
Jim met his dear wife, Gloria, in Mobile, Alabama in a restaurant where she worked called, Princess House. They married and started a family together; and, Jim passed on his love for fixing things and gardening to his dear daughter, Peggy. On a free day, you might easily find Jim working on a car or in his garden. He was dearly loved.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Boman; daughter, Peggy Boman Perry; and, siblings, Joyce Folds, Patricia Crocker and Robert Boman, Jr.
