FLORIDA HOSPITAL EAST ORLANDO: Isaac Sendros Named Avista Adventist Hospital CEO

By Press release submission | | Oct 29, 2019

Florida Hospital East Orlando issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

After a nationwide search, Centura Health has named Isaac Sendros, MBA, as chief executive officer for Avista Adventist Hospital. President of the Denver Operating Group, Ken Bacon, who oversees the organization's seven Denver metro hospitals, said, "I am very pleased that Isaac will be joining us at Centura Health. He not only brings significant depth to the operational side of our system, but his life experiences and passion for service to the community fit our culture of care perfectly."

As a mission-inspired executive, Sendros brings more than 13 years of leadership experience, most recently as the vice president of operations at AdventHealth Kissimmee. Throughout his career in health care, Sendros has always placed the organization's mission at the forefront of every initiative. He has led several multi-million-dollar expansion projects and is credited with significant growth in operational efficiency, finance and patient volume, but it's his commitment to those he serves that's front and center for the leader. Sendros added, "I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of our communities. Under my leadership, Avista will be front and center to assist and provide solutions for the needs of our community as well as continue to provide hope and healing to those we service inside and outside our walls."

The opportunity to build on the hospital's rich legacy, which dates back over 100 years, is an appealing challenge for the newly appointed executive who said, "From its deep roots as the Boulder Colorado Sanitarium, to the state-of-the-art facility we see today, one thing has remained the same and that's the continued focus on faith-based health care that seeks to care for the mind, body and spirit of the community. It's a true honor to be entrusted with the next chapter of the hospital's legacy."

Centura Health and Avista Adventist Hospital are already regional leaders in health care. Sendros' appointment will prove to continue that trend. He believes that together, Centura Health and Avista Adventist Hospital will continue to make a difference in the lives of patients and caregivers as they fulfill their mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

"The mission of the hospital is one I hold very dear to my heart and I look forward to building upon the years of faith-based health care in the community," he said. Sendros will take over as the hospital's CEO on November 25, 2019.
